Indian investment in Bangladesh increase a lot

Managing Director, State Bank of India, Dinesh Kumar Khara said, “Indian investment in Bangladesh has going well. The country has a very favorable environment for Indian investors. He said in an important trade meeting between the India Bangladesh Chamber of Commerce & Industry and the State Bank of India on Thursday.  

He believes that business investment will be more widely run in this region near future.

President of the meeting, IBCCI President Abdul Matlab Ahmed applied for the opening of a full branch of State Bank of India in Jessore. He emphasized on developing a country based loan policy for Bangladesh in order to make Indo-Bangla trade more dynamic, as well as re-launching international pre-approved open term loans (international pre-approved open term loans) in this country. He also urged Indian businessmen to extend credit facilities to the North East states of India so that the two-area trade could grow at a significant rate.

IBCCI’s Board members and other members were present on that occasion along with Mr. C Venkat Nageshwar (Deputy Managing Director – International Banking Group), Mr. B R S Satyanarayan (Chief General Manager – International Banking Group).
