Kidnapped boy rescued in Kushtia; 2 held

Members of Rapid Action Battalion (Rab) rescued a teenage boy from DC Court area in the town on Thursday, seven days after his abduction from Daulatpur upazila of the district.
The rescued boy was identified as Abdullah, 13, son of Sahanur of Meghnapara village in Bheramara upazila.
Rab sources said Sohagh and Amirul allegedly kidnapped Abdullah from Taragunia area in Daulatpur upazila on June 6 and demanded ransom from Abdullah’s family to set him free.
Being informed, Rab through mobile phone tracking traced the location and conducted a drive in DC Court area in the town and arrested the kidnappers and rescued Abdullah from in front of ‘Ekata Diagnostic Centre’ around 12 pm, said Deputy Director of Rab-12, Lt Commander Ali Haider.
The kidnappers were identified as Sohagh, 25, son of Sohor Ali of Sheikhhati Bablatala of Jessore district and Amirul, 25, son of late Liakat Ali Mondol of Amlapara in Kushita.
