IBCCI invited To IndusFood Edition 2 (14th-15th January 2019)



Lastnewsbd, 3rd September, Dhaka: Ashok Sethi, Director of Trade Production Council of India (TPCI), today met with the President of India-Bangladesh Chamber of Commerce and Industry and former President of FBCCI, Abdul Matlub Ahmad at Mohakhali’s Nitol Bhaban today.

Mr. Ashok Sethi, on behalf of TPCI, formally invited the India-Bangladesh Chamber of Commerce and its valued Members in the Food & Beverage Sector to the World’s Food Supermarket, Indus food II, to be held on 14th-15th January, 2019 in Greater Noida, Delhi (NCR).

When asked on this matter, Mr Abdul Matlub Ahmad said to lastnewsbd.com, “We have accepted the invitation from TPCI and we will take part with a strong contingent of entrepreneurs and Important Importers in the Food Sector of. India-Bangladesh Chamber of Commerce. IBCCI would also invite Indian businessmen to Bangladesh to study the fast growing local Market and the need for any investment in Joint Ventures. ”

He also said that now there is a wonderful environment for building food related industrial establishments in Bangladesh.

Mr Ashok Sethi, Director of Trade Promotion Council of India, told Latenewsbd.com that the 2nd. Edition of IndusFood  would be a Better , Bigger and  Brighter Show and strongly advised the Food &Beverage Companies in Bangladesh  to come forward ,participate and take advantage of the excellent B2B platform arranged by TPCI under the auspices of the Department of Commerce ,Ministry  of  Commerce and  Trade Government of India.

In Indus food Edition 1, 455 leading Importers from 43 countries and 320 Indian exporters participated in January 2018 and generated an estimated $650 million. The International Buyers and Indian Sellers from 12 categories of Food &Beverage experienced a unique opportunity of a B to B dialogue and insight into the large basket of Brands, Private labels and Bulk which India could offer to the world.

In Indus food Edition 2, TPCI expects the presence of around 600 global Buyers from around 50 countries and over 350 Indian Exporters and Producers to be present at this World food Supermarket.  He said that the objective of TPCI is to Promote Indian Food Beverage Exports World-wide and has come with a clear message of inviting the serious Players of the F&B Industry in Bangladesh to participate in the forthcoming Indus food Edition 2 and partner to create winning opportunities together.

He thanked Mr. Abdul Matlub Ahmad, for his initiatives to promote IndusFood edition 2.
