CEC assign a ‘loyal Awami Leader’: Rizvi

Lastnewsbd, 10tH February, Dhaka: Addressing a press conference at the party’s Naya Paltan central office, Ruhul Kabir Rizvi said the CEC-designate is several steps ahead than the former CEC when it comes to favoring a political party. He also said the people will be grateful if he resigns from his post. Labeling USA as a friendly nation to Bangladesh, he said USA want to see a fair election in Bangladesh. Referring to sensational Sagor-Runi murder, the BNP leader said that the journalists have become an enemy of the government.

Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) senior joint secretary general Ruhul Kabir Rizvi said elections under the chief election commissioner-designate (CEC) can in no way be neutral and fair. He also said the new CEC’s past history and recent comments clearly show that he is a ‘committed Awami Leaguer’.
