Two arms dealers injured in Satkhira `gunfight`
Two arms dealers received bullet injuries in `gunfight` with police at the district`s Jalalabad area under Kolaroa upazila on Tuesday midnight.
Law enforces seized a revolver, two unexploded crude bombs and some parts of exploded bombs from the scene.
The bullet-hit arms dealers were identified as Ramzan Ali Mollah, 33, son of late Showkat Ali Mollah of Ghorchhala village of Satkhira Sadar Upazila, Mafizul Islam, 26, son of Shukur Ali Sarder of Madra village of Kolaroa Upazila.
Kamal Hossain, Officer-in-Charge (OC-watch) of the district special branch of DSB, said, acting on tip-off, a team of police conducted drive at Ekra Primary School field area to nab the arms dealers.
Sensing the presence of law enforcers, criminals exploded several crude bombs, leaving two cops injured. Police fired at the criminals for their self-defense, leaving two arms dealers injured. They were admitted to Satkhira Sadar Hospital, he added.
